Live Gallery: Ezra Furman – Roundhouse, London

A glorious night with the American maverick...

Ezra Furman walks her own path. Whether that’s as a songwriter, a performer, or a broadcaster, Ezra is a force to be reckoned with, a singular artist.

New album ‘All Of Us Flames’ arrived this summer, and contained a rare sense of urgency. At places, it felt like a punk protest album, with Ezra Furman delivering some of her strongest vocal performances yet.

On its release, Clash wrote: “bold, profoundly honest, and deeply insightful, this is an inspired return, one that might rank as her finest, most complete record to date.”

Hitting the Roundhouse in London for a packed out show, Ezra Furman delivered an emphatic statement, one that underlined the energy running through her music.

Joined by hotly-tipped support The Golden Dregs, it built into a performance that thrived on communal joy, celebration, and defiance.
