Fast rising electro starlet Little Boots has been confirmed as one of the performers at this year’s Wychwood festival.
Taking place on Cheltenham Racecourse, Wychwood is a boutique festival that offers fun for all the family. Spread over three days the event boasts an all star line up of music and other stalls, with plenty to keep you amused if you want a break from the festivities.
However with a line up studded with gems, Wychwood has plenty to keep the most impatient of ears transfixed. Headliners this year include Britpop stars Supergrass, who could preview their eagerly awaited new album.
Welsh wonders Super Furry Animals are set to perform, playing tracks from their new album ‘Dark Days / Light Years’. Led by Gruff Rhys, the band are one of the most inventive in British music and are a spectacular live act. Super Furry Animals are set for a busy summer, and will also play the likes of RockNess and Green Man in Brecon Beacons.
Further down the bill sees the likes of Red Light Company strut their stuff, with indie survivors The Wonder Stuff also due to perform.
The full line up has yet to be released, but one new addition has been announced with Little Boots due to perform at the event. One of the most highly tipped young acts in Britain today, Little Boots’ electro could well be set to storm the charts.
Last year’s Wychwood festival saw Duffy play a storming set, and her next single went to number one. Could lightning strike twice? Well with her next single ‘New In Town’ already playlisted on Radio 1, Little Boots could well follow in some illustrious footsteps.
Wychwood festival takes place between May 29th – 31st.
