Lily Allen Parties At T In The Park

'Not Fair' singer draws huge crowd

Foul mouthed pop pixie Lily Allen was on fine form at this weekend’s T In The Park, drawing a huge crowd.

Lily Allen has had a spectacular year. Releasing her first album in some time, the singer scored simultaneous number ones in the both the album and single chart. Recent single ‘Not Fair’ was no exception, taking a fairly graphic tale of sexual incompetence into the Top Ten.

Taking to the stage at T In The Park, Lily Allen was clearly delighted by the crowd’s reaction. Crammed in front of the Radio 1 stage, the audience gave her an ecstatic welcome, with Allen unveiling a set filled to the brim with hits.

Opening with ‘Everyone’s At It’ the singer played a number of well known tracks alongside a few fan favourites. Lily Allen performed a horn heavy version of ‘Oh My God’ by Kaiser Chiefs – originally produced in collaboration with Mark Ronson.

Lily Allen is clearly a fan of the Balado atmosphere, explaining that “four years ago I played in a tent over there… It was the best gig ever, and I’ve been back ever since. I love this festival and I love you guys.”

The singer has been busy of late, completing a punishing touring and festival schedule. A recent show at Glastonbury was an enormous success, but Lily Allen revealed she is tiring of the rigours of the road.

“I’ll be honest with you, we’ve been doing a two-week run of festival appearances, and after this I’ve got a three-day holiday,” she explained. “So I’m getting fucking pissed tonight. It’s like the last day of school.”

Later in the set Lily Allen played her naughty but nice ode to failures in bedroom ‘Not Fair’. Chastising the crowd, the singer asked women in the audience is they get annoyed when not – ahem – satisfied by their lovers.

After receiving huge (and rather depressing) cheers from the females in attendance Lily Allen asked to see the males put their fingers in the air, saying “think outside the box, yeah? Literally.”

Lily Allen played:

‘Everyone’s At It’
‘I Could Say’
’22’
‘Oh My God’
‘L.D.N.’
‘Go Back To The Start’
‘Littlest Things’
‘Smile’
‘The Fear’
‘Womanizer’
‘Fuck You’
‘Not Fair’
