Liars Curate Sonic City

Featuring Factory Floor, Melvins and more...

Liars are set to take charge of the upcoming instalment of Belgium’s Sonic City festival.

Leaving fans waiting for their next move, Liars are almost impossible to predict. 2010’s ‘Sisterworld’ was a career high, mixing a near industrial sound with an intelligent dissection of life in Los Angeles.

Probing to find space for individuality, Liars decided to take the bulk of this year off to craft a follow up. With work well under way, the band have agreed to take charge of the upcoming Sonic City festival.

Taking place in Belgium, the festival runs between October 28th – 30th. Now in its fourth year, Sonic City has previously been curated by the likes of Deerhoof and Dälek, and takes place at De Kreun in Kortrijk, Belgium.

The line up includes some rather tasty attractions including performances from Washed Out, Factory Floor, Melvins and of course Liars themselves.

Opening on October 28th, the festival gets under way with the European premiere of the documentary film ‘KARP’. Released in the States earlier this year, the film follows the now legendary underground band Kill All Redneck Pricks with director William Badgley piecing together the biopic.

Full line up as follows:

Mark Ernusius (rhythm & sound ft. Tikiman)

30 October
