Leftfield Tour Update

Breakage support slot added

Further details of the upcoming Leftfield tour have been confirmed, including a special support slot.

A truly seminal group in 90s dance, Leftfield proved that electronic music could span the album format. The British duo mixed techno with dub, rock and more over the course of just two vital albums.

Splitting almost a decade ago, Leftfield rose from the ashes this summer. Playing a series of festival slots, the resurrected band stormed the main stage at RockNess, L.E.D. and more rushing through their illustrious back catalogue.

Now the band are preparing to kickstart a full length UK tour. Fans are rushing to grab tickets, with Leftfield set to embark on their first British tour in almost a decade.

Already some dates are sold out. Leftfield have confirmed that there are no more tickets remaining for their first night at Brixton Academy, or their show at Glasgow’s historic Barrowlands venue.

Meanwhile, the band have confirmed a support slot from Breakage. Speaking to ClashMusic this summer, Paul Barnes explained that Leftfield have been able to trace their influence in the dubstep scene.

Mixing drum ‘n’ bass with dubstep, Breakage has become one of the scene’s biggest names with an appeal that stretches into unexpected territory. Big, bolshy and in your face his productions really cannot be ignored.

Set to play a series of support slots with Leftfield, Breakage will warm up the crowds before the main event. Led by Neil Barnes, the legendary group will be joined by Djum Djum, Earl 16 and Cheshire Cat.

Issuing a statement, Neil Barnes said: “The reception we received over the summer at the festivals was amazing. Now we can’t wait to get out there again this autumn and bring the full Leftfield Live experience to the rest of the country. Let the bass roar.”
