Leftfield Add Headline UK Shows

Manchester, Sheffield dates announced

Dance giants Leftfield have announced their first headline shows in almost a decade.

Formed by Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, Leftfield helped transform dance into an album art form. Sure, before the duo dance had produced a select number of coherent albums but few had the muscle of Leftfield’s offerings.

Live, the band were a pulsating mixture of electronics and live instrumentation. Once banned from the Brixton Academy for being too damn loud, Leftfield are set to return this summer for a series of live shows.

With ‘Leftism’ remaining one of the most influential British dance albums ever released, Leftfield will bring the noise this summer.

Already confirming a number of festival appearances, Leftfield are now set to play two headline shows. This time round centring on Neil Barnes, the group will be joined by a variety of guest musicians.

Taking place in Manchester and Sheffield, Leftfield’s new shows mark their first live excursions in a decade. Almost driven to despair, fans have become used to lengthy waits – releasing just two albums, Leftfield spent four years crafting a follow up to ‘Leftism’.

Taking place on June 5th, the show at Manchester Academy will be swiftly followed by another at Sheffield the following night. Preparing to launch a summer campaign, Leftfield are due to headline Scotland’s wildest party RockNess before turning their attention on the capital.

Set to perform at L.E.D. Festival in London the band will mark their return to the capital with a very special live show. Famed for their blistering volume, Leftfield’s return is one of the most talked about British dance events of the year.

Leftfield will play the following shows:

June
5 Manchester Academy
6 Sheffield Academy
