LCD Soundsystem Teasing London Announcement

An announcement is incoming...

LCD Soundsystem seem to be teasing a new London announcement.

The group have close ties with the city, a place that embraced them right from the start. 2017’s ‘American Dream’ remains the most recent LCD Soundsystem album release, but leader James Murphy has revealed that work is ongoing on a follow-up.

Completing a residency at the Knockdown Center in New York across November and December 2024, the band are seemingly itching to get across the Atlantic.

New light installations have appeared across Shoreditch, including spots on Curtain Road and outside Shoreditch High Street station.

The lights contain the DFA Records logo, and the words: “You are here (again)”.

So, what could it all mean? Will LCD Soundsystem play a festival in London? Is it a nod to a potential residency (perhaps at Shoreditch venue Village Underground)…?

Guess we’ll know when the announcement is made.

UPDATE:

Looks like it’s a live event at O2 Academy Brixton. The South London event has just posted an announce – no word yet on date(s) or ticket details.
