New York dance punks LCD Soundsystem are among the latest batch of acts to be confirmed for Wireless.
London is inundated with festivals. When the summer months come virtually every free space and public park is turned into a musical happening, meaning that it is sometimes difficult to tell them apart.
Wireless, however, is different. Taking place in Hyde Park, the three day event attracts thousands of fans desperate to see some of the biggest names around.
This summer Wireless will be graced by LCD Soundsystem. The brainchild of James Murphy, the New York producer recently confirmed that the group’s as yet un-named third album will be their last.
Confirming a series of shows across the UK, the final appearance by LCD Soundsystem as Wireless is destined to be an emotional affair.
Joining the DFA mainstay on the bill are Belgian beat boffins 2ManyDJs. When not remixing the likes of Gossip into prime dancefloor material the duo have perfected the art of the mash up.
With their ‘As Heard On Radio Soulwax’ compilations becoming a firm fixture on stereos across the globe, 2ManyDJs are set to head to Hyde Park. Joining them will be DJ Shadow and fellow Mo’Wax stablemates UNKLE.
Of course, these newcomers join a bill already peppered with talent from the likes of Jay-Z, The Ting Tings, Lily Allen and more.
Wireless takes place between July 2nd – 4th.
