New York dance punk dons LCD Soundsystem have been added to the line up of EXIT.
Held in Serbia, EXIT began life as a protest against an anti-democratic regime. A spirit of dis-obedience lingers over the festival, who has transformed itself into one of Europe’s most attractive events.
Set against the backdrop of a Medieval fortress, EXIT is capable of bringing together some stellar talent. Already confirmed for the Serbian festival are the likes of The Chemical Brothers, SebastiAn, Moderat and more.
Now organisers have unveiled a string of additions. Fans will be able to catch LCD Soundsystem at EXIT, for what could be the last time James Murphy appears on Serbian soil under that name.
Due to release their third album later this year, James Murphy recently confirmed that this would be the last completed by LCD Soundsystem. One of the most influential acts in dance music, the group’s shimmering techno inspired material has spawned a glittering back catalogue.
Also due to perform at EXIT are the likes of hip hop queen Missy Elliot, Placebo and Australian drum ‘n’ bass mentalists Pendulum.
EXIT’s dance arena is famed for its stunning atmosphere, and this year the likes of David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Riva Starr and more. Now expanding to 25 stages, the Serbian event has arranged special showcase events from the likes of Warp Records, Sound Pellegrino and more.
EXIT takes place between July 8th – 11th.
