New Zealand electro-pixie Ladyhawke is set to play at this summer’s Eden Sessions event.
Perhaps the Millenium’s longest lasting gift to the nation, the Eden Project is a state of the art incubation centre for some of the world’s most endangered plants. Effectively a tropical paradise in the middle of Cornwall, the site also hosts the annual Eden Sessions.
Bringing together some of music’s biggest names for a select series of shows, this year’s events have been made extra special by the introduction of Manchester group Oasis. The band were due to play last year’s instalment, but were forced to postpone after Noel Gallagher was attacked onstage in Canada.
In addition to Oasis the Eden Sessions will also present a night headlined by The Kooks. Organisers recently announced that Ladyhawke is set to support the group. The New Zealand star released her debut album ‘My Delirium’ last year, with lead single ‘Paris Is Burning’ going on to become a dancefloor hit.
Peter Hampel, Eden’s Creative Director, said: “Ladyhawke continues the Sessions tradition of great support acts. Elbow, Editors and Hard-Fi have all opened Sessions before and Ladyhawke is set to make big waves this year. Alongside The Kooks, this will be a stunning evening of live music.”
Other headliners for this summer’s Eden Sessions are Kasabian, Razorlight and more.
Eden Sessions takes place between July 4th – 14th.
