Australian pop pixie Kylie Minogue has launched her first UK tour in some time.
Pop, in its purest form, is completely transcendental. So the return of pop princess Kylie Minogue is something to be celebrated, with the singer releasing her album earlier this summer.
‘Aphrodite’ followed a period of turmoil in the singer’s life, with the Australian forced to battle breast cancer. Kylie Minogue bravely fought the illness, before gaining the all clear earlier this year.
Releasing her new album, the singer seemed radiant when ClashMusic sat down for a chat earlier this year. Every inch the classic pop star, Kylie Minogue talked us through work on her new album.

Now Kylie Minogue is set to launch her new British tour. ‘Les Folies Tour 2011’ was announced earlier this morning (September 6th) and contains the singer’s first UK performances in some time.
Announcing the news, Kylie Minogue said: “The reaction to ‘Aphrodite’ has been absolutely incredible and has inspired me and my creative team to develop a new show that will take all of us on a euphoric journey of joy, excitement and glamour. I can’t wait to get on the road and see all my fans in 2011”.
As a thank you to British fans the singer has removed all booking fees on the shows, if purchased from official outlets. Opening in Glasgow early next year, the singer will play two dates in the city.
Following this, Kylie Minogue is due to play two nights at Manchester’s MEN Arena, before finishing the tour at the O2 Arena.
Tickets for the upcoming dates are set to go on sale from 9am next Monday (September 13th).
