Kraftwerk For Bestival

MGMT, Klaxons and more confirmed

The award winning Bestival event is set to return with a mouth watering line up set to be headlined by German electronic legends Kraftwerk.

Held on the Isle Of Wight, Bestival has gained a reputation as being an open minded event unlike any other in the UK. Curator Rob Da Bank has famously eclectic music tastes, and the bill at the event reflects this moving from mainstream to left field in the blink of an eye.

Kraftwerk are one of very few groups in the world who can claim to have changed music forever. With their hand made equipment the band set about making electronic music, influencing countless acts.

With a back catalogue containing such sublime albums as ‘Autobahn’ and ‘Man Machine’, the group are certainly not short on material and their rare live appearances are a thing of beauty.

Also on the bill this year are Brooklyn space cadets MGMT, nu rave pioneers Klaxons and Massive Attack. With fellow Bristol trip hop group Portishead reforming, Massive Attack will be out to prove their worth – and they may just have some new material to show off!

Further down the bill newcomers such as Friendly Fires, Metronomy and Florence And The Machine are set to join the party.

Bestival is set to take place at the Isle Of Wight between September 11th – 13th.
