The Kooks are set to warm up for their performance at the massive T In The Park festival with a tiny Glasgow date, it has emerged.
The Brighton quartet are set to wow the crowds at Scotland’s biggest festival with a set drawing on tracks from their superb second album “Konk”. Due to play the Main Stage on Saturday, The Kooks will warm up to playing before thousands of music lovers with an intimate date at Glasgow’s legendary King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.
The tiny venue has played host to countless rising stars over the years, with perhaps the most famous being the gig that Oasis played when Creation Records boss Alan McGee discovered them.
Also on the bill at the gig will be singer / songwriter Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. Fellow T In The Parker KT Tunstall is also playing a warm up gig in Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre. At 1,700 capacity it is considerably larger than King Tuts, and this will represent an emotional homecoming for the singer who is Fife born and bred.
T In The Park takes place between July 11th – 13th.
