Returning nu rave giants Klaxons have confirmed details of a lengthy British tour.
It’s not quite ‘The Second Coming’ but the new album from Klaxons has been a long time coming. ‘Surfing The Void’ was initially nixed by the band’s label, infuriated by extensive passages of psych freak outs.
Returning to the studio, work was finally completed earlier this year. Taking nu metal producer Ross Robinson on board, Klaxons were able to re-think how they approached recording their new material.
The results are out now. ‘Surfing The Void’ has received mixed reviews, with fans divided over whether Klaxons have moved on enough from their influential debut.
Live appearances have been thin on the ground, with Klaxons set to complete a North American tour in September. Moving across the United States, the band will then fly out to Australia.
Returning to the UK in November, the nu rave group will play a lengthy series of dates in Britain and Ireland. Opening in Manchester on November 11th, the band will wind their way through the country.
Playing Glasgow Barrowlands on November 21st, the British dates will culminate in a show at Leeds on November 22nd. Taking the ferry ride to Ireland, Klaxons are set to play Dublin’s Tripod venue on November 23rd.
Tickets are set to go on sale next Thursday (September 3rd) from 9am.
