Australian artist Kirin J Callinan has announced plans for a surprise London show.
Confrontational yet tender, outrageous yet subtle, Kirin J Callinan is driven by compulsive, contrary impulses. Always unpredictable, the Australian performer's shows are a blur of energy and charisma, poise and drama. If you're in London tomorrow (August 8th) then you can check this out for yourself.
In town to perform at the multi-venue Visions festival, Kirin J Callinan has unveiled plans for an extremely intimate, free entry, one off show. Presented by KANADA and Siberia Records, the Australian artist is set to appear at Shoreditch venue the Old Blue Last.
It's expected to be extremely busy, so get down early to guarantee entry. Of course, if you can't make it then you can always soothe yourself with Kirin J Callinan's new album 'Embracism'.
Clash were blown away by the recordings, with reviewer Cai Trefor opining: "It’s Callinan’s ability to vividly convey his experiences onto ‘Embracism’ that make it such an immersive and intense journey. This one will grow and reward with every new listen, as you get to know the troubled character behind the barbed words."
