Returning indie rock giants Kings Of Leon have confirmed details of a nationwide arena tour this December.
Kings Of Leon warned us to wait. Onstage at Reading last year, the Followills claimed that work on their fifth album could take some time, with fans told not to hold their breath on a new tour anytime soon.
Fast forward one year: the band have played their largest ever headline show and completed work on their new album. It seems the Followills are nothing if not unpredictable…
Set to release their new album ‘Come Around Sundown’ on October 18th, Kings Of Leon previously confirmed a lengthy North American tour. Leaving British fans in anticipation, the Followills have now announced a series of British dates.
Taking place in December, the short run of shows does not include shows in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. However with plenty of gaps between each performance more dates could yet be confirmed.
Kings Of Leon will open their new British tour with a show at Manchester’s MEN Arena. The show takes place on December 13th, before the Followills’ tour bus moves North for two dates in Sheffield.
Taking place in the Steel City’s Motorpoint Arena on December 14th, the band will return five days later. Other shows include a two night stint in Birmingham’s NIA on December 16th and 17th.
The band will finish the tour with a massive one off show at London’s O2 Arena, one of their biggest indoor dates in Britain. Support slots on the tour have yet to be confirmed, with the likes of The Black Keys, The Drums and more providing additional entertainment at the recent Hyde Park show.
Tickets for the upcoming shows go on sale from 9am Friday (September 10th).
