Southern indie giants Kings Of Leon have confirmed details of an extensive tour across the United States.
Kings Of Leon were supposed to be taking this year off. Touring the world after the success of ‘Only By The Night’ the Followills told fans at last summer’s Reading festival that they were set to take time off.
Instead the group have confirmed details of a number of massive shows. Due to play London’s Hyde Park over the summer the gig will be Kings Of Leon’s biggest to date, with tickets selling out within minutes.
Now the band have confirmed an extensive tour of the United States. Kings Of Leon have traditionally done poorly in their homeland when compared to Britain, with ‘Only By The Night’ becoming their first album to crack the Billboard Top Ten.
Kings Of Leon are to play a 31 date arena tour this summer, taking in some of their biggest shows to date. Opening on June 5th in Atlantic City, the tour will move across the length of the United States.
In addition to this, Kings Of Leon are to headline the Bonnaroo festival in their home state of Tennessee. Taking place on June 11th, the band will then fly across the Atlantic to perform at Hyde Park.
With sessions set to begin on their new album, Kings Of Leon have begun to transform themselves into one of the planet’s biggest acts.
