The organisers of V festival have pulled off yet another coup with Las Vegas group The Killers due to play the massive event.
The Killers are currently one of the biggest groups in the country after the huge success of last year’s album ‘Day And Age’. Lead single ‘Human’ soared to the top of the charts, leading the nation to ponder the question ‘are we human or are we dancer?’.
The group’s singer Brandon Flowers most recently appeared on British screens singing with the Pet Shop Boys at the Brit Awards in Earl’s Court.
The band confirmed their appearance in a new interview. Bassist Mark Stoermer told British red top The Daily Mirror “we are indeed headlining the V Festival and we’re lucky to be doing it on our third album – things keep getting better for us”.
“We will have the biggest lighting show we’ve ever had – it costs twice as much as our last tour. When you’re playing big places you’ve got to give something to everyone, including the fans at the back. We’ve become more refined as a live act.”
The Killers have also been confirmed for Scotland’s massive T In The Park event. A favourite of the event’s crowds, the band have not played the festival since 2006.
The Killers have not been confirmed by festival organisers. V festival takes place between August 22nd and 23rd.
