Timid trio Keane have been added to the line up for this year’s BBC Electric Proms event, which is set to take place at venues in London and, for the very first time, Liverpool.
The band are set to play at London’s Koko venue on October 23rd, and gearing up to release new album “Perfect Symmetry” the week before. Keane have already previewed a track for the album – “Spiralling” was released as a free download and was scooped up by over half a million users.
Other acts confirmed for London shows are The Streets, Wild Beasts and XX Teens. The Liverpool leg coincides with the city’s reign as the European Capital Of Culture, and this is the first year events have been held outside of London. The Liverpool shows will include The Last Shadow Puppets and veteran crooner Tony Christie.
The festival will include over 80 artists performing, with many more yet to be announced.
Tickets for the BBC Electric Proms go on sale from 10am on September 17th.
