Kasbaian are set to close the first night of Scotland’s wildest party – RockNess!
With Oasis now by the wayside, Kasabian have become the biggest guitar group in the United Kingdom. Third album ‘West Ryder Pauper Asylum’ smashed into the charts, delighting fans with its rock bombast.
The band have kept their fourth album under wraps, although they will unveil new material at RockNess. The Leicester group are due to preview their new long player at the Dores festival, playing new songs for the first time.
Kasabian are set to follow an action packed day, which began with Katy B. Brit school trained, the bass chanteuse kept the packed tent entertained by unveiling single after single to the RockNess crowd.
Magnetic Man have yet to play the RockNess site, but the crowd went wild for every mention of the bass trio. A quick wander round the Highland arena found Djs dropping the band’s tunes into every site, with their appearance clearly kept in high regard.
Katy B instead kept the Dores crowd entertained, dropping a few singles amidst her set. One of the most focussed pop stars around, her set raised temperatures amongst the sweltering Highland crowd.
Two Door Cinema Club were on the Main Stage, with the Bangor lads revealing most of their debut album ‘Tourist History’. Clearly tightened by their extensive tour, the Northern Irish electro combo pushed the Main Stage crowd to higher heights of delirium.
With DJ Shadow and Kasabian to come who knows where this crowd can go…?
