Ahead of the release of their eagerly-awaited psychedelic third album, Kasabian have revealed details of an intimate three-date UK tour in March, with tickets now on sale.
As well as selling-out their upcoming Tennage Cancer Trust show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the band have been busy in America putting the finishing touched to their third LP, set for release in June.
Returning with a highly psychedelic direction, Kasabian have been taking influence from the likes of Syd Barret for the record, which reportedly flows together with no gaps between songs, with many having a far more dance-based feel. Speaking to Radio 6 recently, guitarist Sergio Pizzorno even cited some tracks as “sounding like Daft Punk”.
The album will be preceded by intriguingly titled single ‘Vlad the Impailer’, with other working titled including ‘Take Aim’, ‘West Rider/Silver Bullet’ and the previously released ‘Fast Fuse’.
