Leicester indie giants Kasabian have been added to the bill for the forthcoming T4 Stars Of 2009 show.
With Oasis out of action, many British bands are stepping forward to take their throne. As former touring partners with the Manchester giants Kasabian seem to be the obvious candidates to become the kings of debauched rock ‘n’ roll.
Releasing their new album ‘West Ryder Pauper Asylum’ earlier this year, Kasabian seemed to step up a gear. Loud and brasher than anything they had recorded before, it spawned the hit single ‘Fire’.
Touring throughout the year, Kasabian are filling bigger and bigger venues. Playing support on the biggest Oasis tour for a decade would have helped, but the band are a sensational live act in their own right.
Due to open a final series of tour dates for 2009 in December, the band have confirmed some of their biggest venues to date. An enormous arena tour, tickets for Kasabian’s upcoming appearances are fast selling out.
Now Kasabian have been added to T4 Stars Of 2009. The band are due to perform at the Earls Court show in London on November 29th with a host of famous guest stars.
Calvin Harris is due to appear, having topped the charts recently with his rave-tastic track ‘I’m Not Alone’. Appearing alongside the Scottish dance titans are La Roux, who have dominated 2009 with a series of stunning singles.
As well as live performances the show will also have a ‘Celebrity Disco’ and signing area, allowing fans to meet some of the acts involved.
