Highly acclaimed New York disco-house group The Juan MacLean are due to hit the UK soon for some very special live dates.
The Juan MacLean are one of DFA’s lesser explored delights. Debut album ‘Less Than Human’ was a stunning mix of cool as ice techno with electronica, but it has taken the group some time to craft a follow up.
Signed to DFA, the group represent a resurgent passion for seminal Chicago house cuts within the stable. Working in seclusion, The Juan MacLean have crafted something very special indeed.
Released last year, the single ‘Happy House’ was the first fans heard of the group’s new direction. Informed by euphoric house cuts, it was a massive hit on dancefloors across the world, finding favour with fans and remixers alike.
For their new album The Juan MacLean have recruited some very special guests. LCD Soundsystem touring member Nancy Whang helps out, as do Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel, both halves of the New York disco duo Holy Ghost!.
Released next month ‘The Future Will Come’ is The Juan MacLean’s most definitive work to date.
