South London bass and techno trailblazer Joy O – as he’s sometimes known – will be handpicking artists for a string of events in the capital.
The Oval Space in Bethnal Green will play host to the four nights, named ‘Just For You’, and will be thrown in conjunction with Black Atlantic and Joy’s own Hinge Finger label. Featuring artists from across the globe, the event will launch on Saturday 23rd February with sets from Hessle boss Ben UFO, Blackest Ever Black’s Raime, Mister Saturday Night, and naturally Joy O himself.
Future nights will boast the likes of bass stalwart Cassy, The Trilogy Tapes creative and fellow Hinge boss Will Bankhead, with many more to be announced.
The Oval Space now boasts ‘a newly installed (and tweaked) custom D&B rig, acoustic treatments throughout and serious industrial ventilation.’ Advance tickets to the event are available through RA here: http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?442101
