Jonathan Wilson has confirmed plans to play four headline shows in January and February.
Technology may take giant strides everyday, but the simple thrills of an acoustic guitar don’t look set to grow old any time soon. Signed to Bella Union, Jonathan Wilson released his debut album earlier this year, a glorious introduction to his songwriting.
Spread across 70 minutes, ‘Gentle Spirit’ was a hugely impressive first step from the young artist. Recently invited on tour by Wilco, Jonathan Wilson followed this by supporting Roy Harper at the Royal Albert Hall.
Now the songwriter has outlined plans to open 2012 with a flurry of live shows. Announcing four dates, Jonathan Wilson will return to the UK with his fragile songwriting just in time for the depths of winter.
Starting in Brighton on January 29th, the singer will hit London on January 31st. Taking place in the Scala, the capital concert will be followed by a Manchester show before Jonathan Wilson heads North to Glasgow for Celtic Connections.
An always vital showcase of trad and beyond, Celtic Connections will welcome Jonathan Wilson as his UK shows come to an end.
