Johnny Foreigner have confirmed a series of UK tour dates opening later this year.
Do Johnny Foreigner ever slow down? The Birmingham trio recently signed a deal with Alcopop! Records and promptly confirmed details of a new EP. Flying out to North America for a series of dates, the band have now announced a lengthy British tour.
Opening next month, Johnny Foreigner will be joined on the tour by labelmates Stagecoach. The pair are obviously mutual admirers, with the bill pair the Birmingham band again the rather more sedate (in comparison) Stagecoach.
Set to record a split seven inch, the single will be available exclusively on the upcoming tour dates. The split release will include both an original and exclusive track by each and then a cover of the other band as an additional B-side.
Just 250 copies will be pressed up, with copies available from the Alcopop! Records website and the upcoming shows. Expect these to sell out!
Meanwhile, Johnny Foreigner are also putting the finishing touches to their new EP. Due for release shortly, the lavishly titled ‘You Thought You Saw A Shooting Star But Yr Eyes Were Blurred With Tears And That Lighthouse Can Be Pretty Deceiving With The Sky So Clear And Sea So Calm’ is due for release in November.
Opening on November 18th in Reading, the upcoming tour reaches all corners of the country. Dates follow in Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow and more before finishing in Edinburgh.
Ending on November 11th, tickets for the upcoming shows are on sale now.
