Johnny Foreigner Free Show

London date to be filmed for DVD

Birmingham fight-pop group Johnny Foreigner have confirmed details of a very special free show this Saturday (September 12th).

Johnny Foreigner don’t hang around. As anyone who has seen them live can testify, the Birmingham trio are an explosion of energy bouncing around onstage like three turbo-charged toddlers on a Sunny D kick.

After a few years of gaining a cult following in the Midlands the band were snapped up by Best Before Records. Johnny Foreigner soon came to wider attention, and began recording their debut album.

Released as ‘Waited Up ‘Til It Was Light’ the album gained strong reviews. Essentially a document of their then live set Johnny Foreigner managed to add lush layers to the album without losing their bristling energy.

Returning to the studio earlier this year the Birmingham trio began re-focussing on writing new material. Emerging with a clutch of fight-pop anthems Johnny Foreigner have been debuting new material live, with fans going typically mental for fresh meat.

Johnny Foreigner have now confirmed details of a new show at London’s Borderline, which will be free entry to fans. Tickets will be restricted to just 150 people with each entrant getting two tickets.

The show is set to be filmed for a new DVD, which will be released in a special edition of their new album. Starting at 1pm the show is open to all ages, with fans required to email their name to: [email protected].

Johnny Foreigner are set to release their new album ‘Grace And The Bigger Picture’ on October 26th. The band have confirmed the following live date:
