The original line-up of Illinoise punk titans The Jesus Lizard have added an additional date to their live plans, playing a one-off show at the London Kentish Forum on the 11th May.
The band are set to play this year’s All Tomorrows Parties festival in Minehead, which itself will take place the weekend before their only UK headline gig.
The Steve Albini-produced shock rockers are to play a select series of gigs throughout 2009, which will end at a homecoming in Chicago in November.
Often cited as one of the most brutal live acts on the planet, The Jesus Lizard are credited for deploying some of the most visceral recordings and shows in rock n roll history. After disbanding in 1999, this will be the first time the band have played together as a full quartet in over twelve years. Best bag the earplugs, then.
