Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake For Wireless

Headliners confirmed as festival shifts location...

Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are set to headline this year's Wireless festival.

Wireless is back – but things have changed. Making the short hop from Hyde Park to the former Olympic Park, the London event will condense itself to a more compact two day weekender. This morning the first names on the line up were confirmed.

Returning R&B sensation Justin Timberlake will headline, while Jay-Z takes command of the second night. Finishing off work on 'The 20/20 Experience', Justin Timberlake recently outlined plans for an intimate post-BRITs show.

For those who missed out, the singer is set to headline Wireless – sitting at the top of a line up which includes Frank Ocean, Snoop Dogg/Lion, Miguel, John Legend and Trey Songz. The second night is bossed by Jay-Z, who will bring his stadium hip hop experience to the one time Olympic Park. Kendrick Lamar is also due to perform, while other artists on the line up include Emeli Sande, Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh and Rita Ora.

Boris Johnson – who was once left stranded on a slip line through Hyde Park – clearly relished Wireless moving location to the newly re-named Queen Elizabeth Park. “This is a stellar line up of stars that is set to bring the house down this summer at Queen Elizabeth Park London. It proves that our fantastic Olympic park is now a destination of choice for world class musical events.”

Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 22nd).

Wireless runs between July 13th – 14th.
