Former Pulp frontman turned solo star Jarvis Cocker is set to unleash his waggling finger in a venue near you soon after announcing a new British tour.
Cocker formed Pulp in high school, and famously holds the record for the longest gap between Peel Sessions – almost a decade in fact! The slow starter eventually came to dominate the pop landscape in the UK, with his acerbic wit playing down the Britpop hype.
Pulp split in 2000, and Jarvis Cocker seemed to spend some time adrift from the music world. Re-emerging with his solo debut ‘Jarvis’ the singer has lost none of his unique pop touch, seemingly operating in a universe all of his own.
Cocker toured the UK late last year as part of the Rough Trade anniversary tour. Celebrating 30 years of an indie institution, Jarvis Cocker debuted new material on the tour, whetting fans appetites for his new album.
Jarvis Cocker is set to release his second solo album in the summer.
The singer has confirmed the following dates:

10 Blackpool Empress Ballroom
12 Glasgow ABC
