London singer Jamie T has been forced to cancel his entire UK tour as he struggles with laryngitis.
Jamie T is one of the most promising young songwriters in the country. At the age of just 23 he has produced two hit albums with his debut – ‘Panic Prevention’ – being nominated for a Mercury.
A stunning live act, the singer’s comeback single ‘Sticks N Stones’ stormed the festival season. With its anthemic chorus and resigned, nostalgic lyrics the track became a favourite with fans who seemed to sing it at every show.
Travelling to Australia to promote his new album, Jamie T caught a bout of laryngitis. Cancelling his final two shows, the singer returned to the UK in an attempt to recover.
Forced to postpone the first six dates on his upcoming British tour, Jamie T was warned by doctors to rest. It seems as if that advice hasn’t worked, with the songwriter now cancelling his entire British tour.
Due to be re-scheduled, the shows will be re-arranged to fit in alongside European dates – also affected by the cancellations. Allowing Jamie T time to recover, the troubadour is attempting to regain the power in his voice.
A statement from Jamie T’s spokesperson said: “The cancelled shows will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and original tickets will be valid. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase.”
