The Southbank Centre’s influential festival of art and technology will return in April, it has been announced.
Hosting a brace of appearances by legendary figures, and more than a few unusual collaborations, the festival looks to be the best yet. The event will be launched by Goldfrapp, who will preview tracks from their forthcoming album, before a few more esoteric sets from The Intenational Beatbox Convention.
Other big names confirmed for the festival include Soulwax, the London Sinfonietta and the first UK appearance from krautrock legends Harmonia.
The Ether 2008 programme will be augmented by free performances in the front room of the Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall.
Ether 08 takes place in the Southbank Centre from April 18th – 28th.
