As part of Radio 1 event

Kings Of Leon are set to play a one off intimate show in London as part of a new Radio 1 event.

With the Autumn leaves beginning to fall around us, Radio 1 has announced a series of exciting live music events running throughout October – including an intimate show from Kings Of Leon.

The Followills are used to playing massive venues in the UK, recently playing a one off show at Hyde Park. The London show saw thousands of fans hail the band, with Kings Of Leon choosing to unveil new material.

The band are due to return with their fourth album ‘Come Around Sundown’ later this year, and have confirmed an epic British arena tour. Kings Of Leon will also perform an invitation only show, as part of a Radio 1 event.

Kings Of Leon Night will celebrate the band’s achievements, and track their story from ‘Red Morning Light’ to ‘Radioactive’. Taking place on October 28th, the show will include an intimate show at a secret location.

Featuring some brand new material, Kings Of Leon will also be the subject of a new documentary and some classic sessions.

As part of Radio 1’s Autumn season the station are also set to celebrate Mumford & Sons. Taking place on October 11th Zane Lowe will examine the rise of so called nu-folk artists, with contributions from Laura Marling and more.

Joined by some close friends, the one off show will coincide with the launch of a new student tour. Hitting venues across the country Radio 1 will be joined by 30 Seconds To Mars, Klaxons and Chase & Status.

Ben Cooper, Deputy Controller, Radio 1 and 1Xtra says: “October is going to be a fantastic month for live music on radio 1. The station’s continued passion for reflecting the excitement and energy of a gig I believe, is key to connecting with young listeners across the UK”.
