In Photos: Reading Festival 2023 – Day Two

The music extravaganza continues...

Reading Festival has faced numerous challenges over the years – a shift in audiences, a packed festival calendar, and now stormy weather and a rail strike… in the same weekend.

Somehow, though, Reading rose to emerge triumphant on its second day. West London rapper Central Cee created havoc with his incredible set, while pop rebel Caity Baser caught attention.

Irish group INHALER played to a colossal crowd, while Ken Carson, midwxst, and a resurgent Soft Play – FKA Slaves – won admiring glances.

With Cordae causing a ruckus, The 1975 rose to the occasion with a very special set celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album.

Photographer Ben McQuaide caught the action.
