The life, split, and resurrection of blink-182 is something to behold. Initially shrugged off by critics as pop-punk pranksters, more interested in toilet humour than songwriting, the consensus around the band has spun 180.
With a fresh generation absorbing their music from a different vantage point – and old hands ready to do battle to save their reputation – blink-182 have emerged for what they were all along: the perfect introductory drug to alt culture.
A huge touring band, blink-182 recently packed out a UK arena tour, and hit the ground running at last weekend’s Reading festival in front of a colossal crowd.
