Scottish indie heroes Idlewild return with news of their first UK tour in six years.
The band remain a much-cherished project, with 2019’s ‘Interview Music’ proving that the creative fires remain undimmed. Led by vocalist Roddy Woomble, guitarist Rod Jones and drummer Colin Newton, the new evolution of the group features multi-instrumentalists Andrew Mitchell on bass and Luciano Rossi on keyboards.
This year finds Idlewild going back out on the road, starting at Newcastle’s Boiler Shop on October 10th.
Hitting Leeds, Wolverhampton, Cambridge and Bristol, the band play London’s KOKO on October 17th.
The tour closes at Glasgow’s famed Barrowland Ballroom on December 7th. The dates naturally spark speculation about new material – it’s also 20 years since the release of Idlewild’s album ‘Warnings / Promises’.
Tickets for Idlewild’s UK tour will be available from Friday (March 14th) at 10am via https://gigst.rs/Idlewild.
