Indie icon Ian Brown has revealed new plans to showcase his forthcoming new album with a very special free show.
As leader with The Stone Roses, Ian Brown inspired a generation of frontmen. Whether copying his image, his onstage stance or his vocal style Ian Brown has become the archetypal British indie singer.
After the group collapsed in 1996 Ian Brown set off on a dizzying solo career. Mixing triumph with tragedy, Ian Brown has scored Top Ten singles and also found himself in jail following an altercation on an airplane.
Forthcoming album ‘My Way’ finds the singer in reflective mood. One of his most impressive solo efforts to date it features references to his former comrades in The Stones Roses.
Not that Ian Brown would want to reform the group – in a recent interview the singer claimed he would only rejoin the band if he found himself living rough on the streets.
To celebrate the release of ‘My Way’ Ian Brown has unveiled a very special show. Taking place in London’s Relentless Garage venue it will be the singer’s most intimate date of his decade long solo career.
Entry will be free, with fans told to enter a competition via Ian Brown’s official website. To enter, all fans have to do is pre-order a copy of ‘My Way’ via HMV – which, if you’re a fan, you’ll probably be doing anyway.
Ian Brown is set to play the following date:
