Hudson Mohawke Launch Party

Glasgow dance genius hits London

Precocious Glaswegian producer Hudson Mohawke is set to hit London later this month to celebrate the launch of his new EP ‘Polyfolk Dance EP’.

Emerging from the Glaswegian dance scene, Hudson Mohawke is just one producer associated with the LuckyMe collective. Traversing art, music and fashion the collective also holds some mean parties.

Named ‘Numbers’ these involve an unhealthy mash up of hip hop, dubstep, electronic and much more. Aged just 22 years of age, Hudson Mohawke’s fresh new style has caught the ears of none other than Warp, who have snapped up the wunderkind.

His debut EP for the imprint picks from his many DIY releases, with ‘Polyfolk Dance’ skimming the cream from the top. Named ‘aquacrunk’ as a joke by the producer, his sound takes elements from hip hop and mixes them with the infinite suggestions of dub.

Hugely praised by the press, Hudson Mohawke is due to launch his new EP with a show at top London club Plastic People. The night will double as a presentation of Numbers, taking a Glaswegian mash up to the capital.

Hudson Mohawke’s new EP ‘Polyfolk Dance EP’ is out now on Warp. The launch party takes place at the following venue:

March
26 London Plastic People
