Small but perfectly formed, End Of The Road has unveiled a series of star names including The Hold Steady.
Set in the rolling Devon countryside, End Of The Road boasts a friendly atmosphere and a carefully handpicked bill. Held in Larmer Tree Gardens, this year’s event is bigger than ever boasting a number of star names.
With an emphasis on indie rock and folk, End Of The Road has a carefully chosen line up. This year’s headliners include post rock legends Explosions In The Sky, Brit award nominees Fleet Foxes and many more.
Further down the bill are the likes of celebrated songwriter Neko Case, blues-rock weirdoes Archie Bronson Outfit and Cambridge folk group The Broken Family Band.
Ne additions to the End Of The Road family include The Hold Steady. With their punk energy and Bruce Springsteen bluster the group have become firm favourites with British music fans, especially after the reception afforded to their latest album ‘Stay Positive’.
Currently working on new material, the band are a sizzling live act. Joining The Hold Steady this year are some of the most acclaimed acts around.
Blitzen Trapper are set to follow last year’s album ‘Furr’ with a new EP, and the band will drop by End Of The Road for a no doubt stunning set. Scottish singer Alasdair Roberts impressed with an intimate set at the recent Homegame event, and the performer will bring his death ballads (more cheerful than they sound, honest!) to Larmer Tree Gardens.
A family orientated event, children get in free. Sadly, though, this is by ticket only and all briefs have been claimed.
With a host of other attractions planned for the event including a cinema tent, the Rough Trade shop, stalls, bars and a series of surprise performances End Of The Road is a fine way to finish off the festival season.
End Of The Road takes place between September 11th – 13th.
