Glasgow’s new music festival hinterland has announced the first part of its line up for the 2009 event, with 80 band splaying across two days in Scotland’s biggest city.
Hinterland is now an established event on the Scottish musical calendar offering fans the chance to catch the next Franz Ferdinand in their natural environment. Taking place between April 30th – May 1st, the emphasis is on Scottish acts although a fair few will come from elsewhere.
Of the 30 bands so far announced, two thirds are from Scotland. Amongst those confirmed are Dananananaykroyd, Copy Haho, Fangs, Micachu and post rock gurus Galchen.
Featuring some of the best new music from Scotland and beyond, Hinterland is determined to make sure that Glasgow is anything but.
