Snowsports and music are a logical combination – but all the festivals that seem to cater to this market are so far away…
Or are they? Groove CairnGorm is a new resort-based festival that promises to fuse an impeccably curated bill with snow sports right here in the UK.
Taking place in the Scottish cairngorm region, the festival is set to welcome Hot Chip (DJ set), Grandmaster Flash, The Cuban Brothers, DJ Yoda, Prides and many more.
Running between March 11th – 12th, Groove CairnGorm actually takes place on the same weekend as the Scottish Freestyle Championships – meaning some serious talent will be on the slopes.
"We're bringing snowsports back to their spiritual home! After the success of the inaugural Groove Loch Ness this summer, we just couldn't wait a whole year for our next party, and we are very excited to be partnering with Cairngorm Mountain to be delivering this unique event in the UK's festival calendar" said Sam Barker, one of the Groove founders.
"Cairngorm mountain has been given a facelift since it was taken over by Natural Retreats in 2014. The endless work they have been doing in the summer months has a huge impact on the conditions in winter, which stay better for longer. We want to celebrate that and give snow riders the opportunity to enjoy a snowsports festival weekend on home snow, that doesn't break the bank."
Tickets are on sale now.
Groove CainGorm runs between March 11th – 12th.
