The line up for this year’s Green Man festival has expanded, with Stephen Malkmus, tUne-yArDs and more due to perform.
Continuing to expand and diversify, Green Man remains a frustrating beast to predict. Still at heart a fuzzy folk festival, the Welsh event combines a love for acoustic strumming with an increasingly adventurous taste.
Turning ten this summer, Green Man have once again expanded the bill. Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks will drop by, still fresh from the success of their Beck produced fifth album ‘Mirror Traffic’.
Due to perform at Green Man, Stephen Malkmus joins a diverse line up. Inventive West Coast musician Merrill Garbus will drop by, marking a return to the UK for her groundbreaking tUne-yArDs incarnation.
A stunning live performer, Merill Garbus will be joined by bassist Nate Brenner to construct a loop-laden, ukelele powered festival show.
Elsewhere, of Montreal are due to perform while BBC Sound of 2012 poll winner Michael Kiwanuka is also set to appear.
King Creosote – a long time friend of Green Man – is set to drop by, taking Jon Hopkins along for the ride. The pair will perform their majestic collaborative set ‘Diamond Mine’ alongside a few surprises.
Other names added to the line up include Field Music, Friends, TOY, Trembling Bells, Gang Colours, The Pictish Trail, Cold Specks and more.
Green Man runs between August 17th – 19th. Line up:
