Green Day Announce Brixton Academy Show

One off show confirmed

Green Day are set to play a one off show at London's Brixton Academy on August 21st.

Green Day are superstars. The band's days of selling cassettes from the back of a rundown tour van are long gone, with sweaty basements venues being swapped for stadiums.

Set to headline this summer's instalment of Reading and Leeds, Green Day will play a one off London show a few days before the festival opens. Taking place on August 21st, the group will storm the Brixton Academy.

Tickets will no doubt in high demand, with Green Day's previous British show occupying the rather more vast climes of the Emirates Stadium.

Tickets are priced at £39.50 and go on sale at 9am this Wednesday (August 14th).

Meanwhile, Green Day's upcoming documentary '¡Cuatro!' will be released on August 24th. Directed by Tim Wheeler and produced by Tim Lynch for Farm League, the film traces the studio process behind the band's recent album trilogy.
