Hotly tipped indie upstarts Grammatics have been added to Bloc Party’s massive upcoming tour.
The Leeds group are yet another graduate from the Dance To The Radio school of talent. The label has been responsible for great records from Forward Russia, iLikeTrains and many more, maintaining a commitment to local talent whilst never allowing themselves to drift into the parochial.
Grammatics earned a cult following due to their frenetic live show and their purpose built indie anthems. The band are currently on tour with Red Light Company, and will also tour with spazz-core heroes Rolo Tomassi in April.
The band release their self-titled debut album this week. A stunning mixture of indie melody and rock crunch. Gaining rave reviews from fans and critics alike it sets a new benchmark for both Grammatics and their esteemed label.
Bloc Party are set to tour the UK in October. The group released their controversial new album ‘Intimacy’ last year, which has now been entirely remixed. Bloc Party have invited producers to rework their material, with remixers including Mogwai, Herve and many more.
