Arkansas disco punks The Gossip are set to return for a UK tour in May, expanding their shows to include Glasgow, Manchester and a set at at this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in Swindon.
The trio are set to return with new album ‘Music For Men’ in June, which will see them follow-up 2006’s breakthrough ‘Standing In The Way Of Control’, a hybrid of rebellious, soul-infused disco punk.
Recorded at the historic Shrangri La Studios in Malibu throughout much of last year, their fourth LP saw Beth Ditto & co. team up with legendary producer Rick Rubin, himself famed for cementing the sound of the likes of The Beastie Boys and Slayer.
The Gossip will be airing their new material throughout May, before releasing comeback single ‘Heavy Cross’ on the 15th June.
