Hot new London group Goldhawks have recruited some famous friends to help launch their new residency.
It’s nice to have friends in high places. Newcomers Goldhawks were faced with a mountain to climb after book a four week residency at a London venue, but have been able to call upon some stellar talent to fill out the bill.
Taking over the Tribe Called Quest night in central London, the group are due to tread the boards in the Ginglik venue. Beginning on September 3rd Goldhawks are set to return once a week for some musical mayhem.
Tagging along for the ride are some very familiar faces. Maximo Park have agreed to perform a special DJ set, with the Geordie types due to bring some party favourites alongside some more obscure cuts.
Also set to hit the decks at the Shepherd’s Bush venue are The Maccabees, whose new album ‘Wall Of Arms’ is a constant spin on the ClashMusic stereo. Replacing the ramshackle charm of their debut with some studio enhanced muscle, the group are hot property right now.
Live sets will comes from the likes of Flashguns and Blood Red Shoes, with Goldhawks finishing each night with a very special set. Expect some more surprises to be announced closer to the time, with guest stars galore planned.
