Glasvegas have announced plans for a short burst of UK tour dates this December.
Shooting out the traps with their Mercury nominated debut album, Glasvegas have endured a lengthy downfall. Now operating at an independent, DIY level the band retain a massive, loyal fan base capable of outstripping a lot of rather more fashionable newcomers.
Working on new material, Glasvegas broke cover this morning (October 2nd) to announce a short burst of UK shows. Taking place in December, the itinerary focuses on areas where the band's base is strongest – so plenty of dates in Scotland and the North of England, in other words.
“We’ve been working hard in the studio all summer, recording and mixing our new album, and we are pleased to announce that we are going back on the road in December" the band explained. "Excited to be back on the road again, meeting you all and playing you some new songs, and going back to places we’ve been away from for too long."
