Glastonbury: Selling Fast

Half Tickets Gone Already, Organizers Announce

Organizers of next year’s Glastonbury Festival have announced half of the tickets for the event have already been snapped since they went on sale on Sunday 5th October.

The new ticketing system, which allows music fans to pay a £50 deposit upon registering and then ‘settle up’ next year, has proved highly successful. Following an expected ”initial rush”, which caused some fans to encounter computer problems, but the scheme is thought to have been very successful overall. Next year fans who have purchased under the deposit scheme will only have to pay the rest of the ticket which in total costs £175 – ideal for the credit crunching times currently unfolding.
