Glastonbury 2024: Little Simz Is Radiant On Pyramid Stage

Little Simz has just played a stunning Glastonbury set on the Pyramid Stage.

The Somerset festival has bathed in sunshine all day, producing a party atmosphere amongst revellers. Following Michael Kiwanuka on the Pyramid Stage, Little Simz was essentially in a sub-headliner spot, one space below Coldplay.

Hitting the stage with alacrity, Little Simz delivered an intense, focussed performance. Much of the material drew from her multi award-winning album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, but the carefully curated set dug into different aspects of her work.

Joined by a stellar live band – including Jack Penate on guitar – Simz was able to re-create the focussed intensity of her studio work at Glastonbury. Early highlights such as ‘Silhouette’ and ‘No Merci’ charged up the crowd’s energy, while ‘101 FM’ was a potent moment.

Pausing, she told the crowd: “This is one of the highlights of my life right now…”

The hour-long climaxed with a golden run of vital Simz moments, with ‘Venom’ and ‘Mood Swings’ only serving to increase the crowd’s hysteria. There was a new song too – ‘The Code’ recalls the rugged club sonics of her ‘Grey Area’ LP.

Closing with ‘Woman’, Little Simz has delivered what will undoubtedly rank as one of the weekend’s key sets.

Stay tuned for more Glastonbury updates.
