Glastonbury 2013 Line Up Confirmed

The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys to headline...

Glastonbury has unveiled the line up for 2013, with The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys set to headline.

For many fans, Glastonbury is the ultimate festival. Less of a weekend activity and more of a way of life, the event manages to capture the counter cultural ethos which spawned it whilst remaining up to date.

A few moments ago, the team behind the event revealed details of the line up for 2013. The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys are set to headline, ending months of speculation.

The Rolling Stones, of course, will be playing Glastonbury for the very first time. Tantalisingly, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings have also been booked, allowing for the possibility of a re-union with their former bass player on the Pyramid Stage.

Elsewhere, Primal Scream are set to head to the fields of Somerset, while Portishead will headline the Other Stage. Cat Power has agreed to take part, while The Horrors will take time out of constructing album #4 to perform at Glastonbury.

The Weeknd will appear, with hip hop icons Public Enemy adding a little protest to the line up. Crystal Castles will headline the John Peel Stage, with countless live acts, DJs, theatre companies, food stalls and other wastrels set to troop down to Glastonbury for another instalment of mystical mischief.

Check out the full line up above.

Glastonbury runs between June 28th – 30th.
